bowen Island

Set against the backdrop of Bowen Island’s Pacific Northwest beauty — a quiet, intimate community just a ferry ride from Vancouver — the home sits among towering old-growth trees, winding roads, and a woodland garden overflowing with moss, ferns, and arching vines.

From the moment you step through the rustic garden gate and onto the wraparound deck, the property feels like its own private world.

Our design approach honored the surrounding landscape and the client’s desire for warmth, texture, and nostalgia. We softened the home with layered linens, gentle color stories, and handcrafted elements. Key sight-lines were opened to allow easy connection between spaces.

The principal bedroom was designed to feel like a soft, enveloping hug. We installed a richly patterned Farrow & Ball wallpaper that created an immersive cocoon, paired with linen bedding and an upholstered linen headboard. Throughout the home, muted neutrals replaced stark whites, offering a timeless, lived-in warmth.

This project wasn't just about renovation; it was about restoration — creating a nurturing, soulful retreat for a small family starting a new chapter, tucked away in one of the Pacific Northwest's most magical corners.
