west 11th street

The townhouse, despite its urban setting, maintained a deep connection to nature, with glass doors opening to a private patio and hedges lending a sense of seclusion. As the surrounding gardens bloom, the home continues to evolve, mirroring the thoughtful and timeless aesthetic of its owner.

What made this a truly remarkable project was how effortlessly the client infused it with her personal history. She displayed cherished pieces with intention, striking a balance between sentimentality and simplicity.

West 11th was a project that embodied both change and continuity. The client, a retiree with an impeccable eye for materials and design, transitioned from a spacious home in Southlands, surrounded by open farmland and riding stables, to a refined townhouse in the heart of South Granville. Her previous home was a study in natural beauty, filled with woven textures, neutral tones, and a curated mix of farmhouse-modern and contemporary elements.

Thoughtful textures wove their way throughout, from the warm, tactile fabrics of her seating to the layered, inviting palette that created a sense of calm. The den, a particularly special space, became a book-lined retreat—immersive, cozy, and deeply personal, designed for both reflection and productivity.
